Subject:FS Project issue with Universal Control v1.6 - PC
Evilbassplayer Prenoob Joined: 09/09/2011 19:14:19 Messages: 4 Location: Portugal (Lisbon) Offline	Hello. I'm a FS Project / Studio One user runnig on a PC with Windows7 32/64. Everything was working fine until a update the Universal Control with the new driver v1.6. With the installation of the new driver overwritted over the old one, the UC don't recognize de FS Project device. When I click and open the UC it shows 'driver 0.0.0.0.', and appears a message with '.dll error and issues'. I tried the full uninstall the program at the PC control panel, and install the 'Universal Control v1.5.3.1 Driver v3.5.6' again, and then install the v1.6, and the problem continues. I tried this operations several times. The strange thing is that the Firewire port is OK with legacy option selected, and when i reboot the PC and connect de FS Project after the drivers installation, the sound in my speakers is OK and the blue light led is on at the FS Project, but in the PC the Universal Control icon is lighted in red with no device found. I can't use the Studio One software too, because the FS Project isn't recognized. Yesterday, I read in an old post of this forum that says there's a solution possible with the instalation of the UC 1.5.2 driver before the instalation of the new drivers, but i can't found the UC v.1.5.2 at the Presonus FireStudio Project Software Downloads area. I read several posts about FS Project drivers download in this forum, but I really don't find any solutions.. Could you help me? Thanks. Best regards António Gião

stickulari Presonic Joined: 02/12/2010 00:48:40 Messages: 497 Offline	Hi Antonio, there have been several people who have had problems with the 1.6 UC, if you check the release notes for 1.6 you will find that it addresses several issues in the studiolive series of desks and not with the interfaces. I would suggest that you uninstall following the manual uninstall instructions in the knowlege base and install the previous version 1.5.3.1. Cheers

I followed all uninstall/install Presonus Knowledge Base instructions (Adam) and finally I installed the last UC version (1.6) with sucess. All drivers are OK and UC is running fine. The FireStudio Project is now synchronized and working 100%. The Studio One Artist software is working fine too. Thanks Adam for your precious help. All the best António Gião
